Transcribing an audio recording instantly increases the value. Some people just prefer to read – it’s much easier.

A couple on transcription services I’m aware of are wescribeit.com, and CastingWords, which is an Amazon mturk project.

So far, I have not been impressed with any audio to text automated translations. The technology is just not there.
