Making money with affiliate programs is difficult.
There's too much information, and much of it is irrelevant, out-of-date, unnecessary, or just plain wrong.
The truth of it is just keep it simple. Focus. Work on one project at a time.
(Yeah, I know. Boring, right?)
It's taken me a while to really understand this.
I wanted to share some of my favorite affiliate resources with you.
Here are some great places to find affiliate programs:
http://www.cj.com
http://www.lifetimecommissions.com
That last one focuses exclusively on affiliate programs that provide ongoing, passive residual income. And to be, that's the kind that feels the best!
Also, I use this tool to find Clickbank products. It's pretty interesting, and free too. It got me thinking what exaclt is the gravity score at clickbank. (I knew higher was better, but I wasn't sure so I checked it out.)
Here's the answer:
Gravity: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by referring a paying customer to the publisher's products. This is a weighted sum and not an actual total. For each affiliate paid in the last 8 weeks we add an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent the last referral, the higher the value added.
Hope that helps!
